CSA Overview

CSA membership allows growers and consumers to come together in a mutually beneficial partnership. CSA holders receive a weekly share of the farm's harvest that week, which supports the farm and helps to build the relationship between the two. Being able to shake the hand of the actual farmer who is growing the food that goes on the family table creates a connection to that food which is absent in other settings. Knowing where that food was grown and actually being able to see it growing in the field is an important part of being part of a CSA.

How it works

As a member of our CSA, you purchase a share of our seasonal harvest, paid in advance, harvested and prepared for you to pick up. Our shares run from June thru October. Bountiful harvests are share between members, for those weeks. All you have to do is come and pick it up on the day you choose for your pickup. Seasonal availability will vary and depend on what is being harvested for that week.

If you want to give CSA a try without the full season comittment,  we also have an introductory share.

Is there a downside?

There really isn't a downside to CSA membership. As with any venture that is dependent on weather and other natural conditions, growing for market is sometimes a challenge. Sometimes things don't work out exactly as planned, for reasons that are beyond our control. That is the nature of eating local and seasonal. But a good farmer always takes those potential situations into account when planning for the season and we are no exception.
